Securing America: “State of Homeland Security” Speech
Less than a week after the State of the Union, another “State of” speech is coming Monday from the nation’s Homeland Security chief.
FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig reports in our ongoing series on national security:
Audio clip:
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano delivers her second-annual “State of Homeland Security” speech this afternoon at the National Press Club. Just last week, Napolitano unveiled President Obama’s new plans for global trade protection at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
(Napolitano) “First, to promote the efficient and secure movement of goods around the world. And second, to foster a more resilient supply chain.”
Energy and cyber networking are also pillars of that new plan.
