Pentagon: Some 9/11 Victims’ Remains Taken to Landfill
A decade after 9/11, there’s still a question about where some of the human remains ended-up.
FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern reports from Washington:
Audio clip:
Partial remains from victims of the strike on the Pentagon and United Flight 93 that crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, were sent to a landfill after they couldn’t be identified.
The new Pentagon report finds the remains were given to a bio-medical waste disposal contractor. That company incinerated the remains, then took them to the landfill.
The information part of a wider probe the military has launched about the Dover Air Force Base Mortuary, where the practice of putting unidentified remians in landfills was stopped in 2008.
