Pakistani Doctor Who Helped US Get Bin Laden, Jailed [VIDEO]
The Pakistani doctor responsible for helping the CIA track down Usama bin Laden has been sent to prison for treason in his home country.
FOX News Radio’s Dominic Di-Natale reports from Islamabad:
Audio clip:
Thirty-three years of jail and hard labor for high treason, that’s what Shakil Afridi got for running a CIA vaccination program aimed at collecting DNA evidence of Usama bin Laden’s presence in Pakistan.
Convicted of high treason by a tribal court, Afridi was not present before the ruling Jirga.
Under tribal rules, the surgeon would not have even been allowed access to a lawyer, nor even to defend himself. And it appears he won’t even have the right to appeal.
