Spencer Hughes in for Gibson

Memorial! A TV Anchor celebrated Memorial Day and the sacrifices of our Troops by questioning whether or not our fallen Soldiers are actually “heroes.” He had a problem with using the term “hero” because it denoted a tacit approval for the Wars they’ve fought and died in. Spencer examines.

Plus: Should we look for a President who’s had Military Service, Some want to change Memorial Day back to May 30th because it’s become the kick off to Summer as opposed to a day of recognition and callers Memorialize their own family members.

I agree with Spencer and how the majority of Americans don't even know why we celebrate Memorial Day. They are off enjoying their picnics, retail sales, etc. I just returned from a ceremony at a cemetary honoring our veterans and there were very few in attendance. Shocking because I live in Twentynine Palms CA, home of the worlds largest Marine Corps base. More and more I notice people don't even put their hands over their hearts during the national anthem. That I think is attributed to the schools and what they aren't teaching our children anymore.
