The ObamaCare Debate: What Do We Do About Tina?
One of ObamaCare’s few popular provisions is its coverage of those who have preexisting conditions. “Tina from Reno”, who was born with cerebral palsy, called in and told Tom health insurance companies would not cover her and she is now on Medicare at the age of 43. She argues that the taxpayers pay for her health coverage anyway, so making laws to help people like her may actually bring the costs down. Does Tina have a point?
