Securing America: Air Force Investigates Sex Abuse at Base
A sex scandal in the U.S. Air Force is widening, and so is the investigation.

The alleged incidents date back to 2009, but the first accuser didn’t come forward until last June. Instructors at Lackland Air Base in Texas suspected of sexual misconduct or sexual assault.
A senior Air Force commander General Edward Rice, now confirming 31 women identified as victims and a dozen instructors are under investigation. Nine of them from one unit.
The unit commander, relieved of duty, even though he’s not one of the accused. That squadron, one of nine in all training 35,000 recruits every year.
General Rice telling Pentagon reporters the problem appears to be localized, but the Air Force has launched an investigation of all training units.
