NY Man Catches Child Falling From Third-Story Window
A disaster has been averted after a quick-thinking New York City bus driver caught a seven-year-old girl who fell three stories from a Brooklyn building.
FOX News Radio’s Courtney Kealy reports from New York:
Audio clip:
Amateur video shows the Brooklyn girl on Surf Avenue in Coney Island climbing onto a third floor air conditioning unit and Steve St. Bernard catching her as she plummets towards the ground.
(St. Bernard) “I ran over there hoping that I’d make it before she falls, hoping she don’t jump. When I got there she was still up there and I’m just looking and I’m praying if she do fall or jump let me catch her.”
The girl who is reportedly autistic was not taken to a hospital. St. Bernard suffered a torn bicep muscle and may need surgery .
