Securing America: Conventions Warned About Anarchists [VIDEO]
Federal law enforcement agencies are issuing a warning for the potential for violence or criminal action during the 2012 national political conventions.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso has details in our ongoing series on national security:
The FBI and Department of Homeland Security have issued a bulletin to police departments across the country, warning them to keep an eye out for indications that activists in their areas might be planning disruptions of the upcoming Republican and Democratic National Conventions.
The bulletin says anarchists don’t have the capability to overcome heightened security measures, but that nearby infrastructure and businesses in Tampa and Charlotte, North Carolina could be targeted. Authorities say they’re particularly concerned about a group of anarchists from New York City who may be planning to shut down or block roads and transit systems.
