Housecall for Health: Women Face Sleep Apnea Risk
If you’re a woman and have trouble getting a good night’s sleep, you’re likely not alone. An international study has found that women are at an increased risk for a sleeping condition that could lead to even bigger problems.
FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

New research finds half of women may suffer from sleep apnea. A major study from Umea University in Sweden conducted overnight sleep tests on a random sample of 400 women. Two-hundred of them experience at least five episodes an hour when they stopped breathing for longer than 10 seconds.
Sleep apnea is linked to stroke, heart attacks and early death.
